Biancane Geosite and Le Site Transitorie
HIGHLIGHTS
The Crete Senesi are a paradise appreciated by the whole world for their particular morphology. A few kilometers south of Siena is the Geosite of Biancane di Leonina, a place where these clay domes are found among the “sea” of rolling green hills. Le Site Transitorie is in the middle as a panoramic stopover point towards the city of Siena, towards the Amiata volcano and towards infinity. An enchanting postcard place.
PROGRAM
We will meet in the beautiful Crete Senesi to do the Leonina ring and the Geosite of Biancane until we admire these whitish domes and the typical vegetation. We will arrive to see Le Site Transitorie to admire the 360-degree views of the Crete and in the distance the Amiata volcano. After a visit to the village of Mucigliani we will return towards the Leonina castle to close the ring. Once we reach the cars we will move (optional) to Rapolano to go and relax in the hot waters of the Spa!

RECOMMENDED: Comfortable and sports clothing, breathable technical t-shirts, trekking poles useful for the uphill sections.
